Splendid

We came to this place as strangers but left as friends. The riad is located in the Medina. It is the old part of the city and comes with all that the old city represents. which is full-on and constantly busy. The riad itself is beautiful with comfortable rooms, mint tea and pastries, a good breakfast and, if you wish (extra cost), a very good evening meal. We arrived late at night and had an excellent chicken tagine. The place is clean, quiet and very good value. I think this ticks the various points for comment. But what stood out for me was the attentiveness of the staff. Before we travelled, we had a few practical queries, and our messages were all answered promptly and helpfully. They arranged transfers and guidance for arrival and departure and were hugely helpful in giving tips and advice on how to navigate our way around a new environment. More than that they were simply very friendly and approachable, with a chat in the morning before we went out and another in the evening when we returned, often about football! I would certainly stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Marrakech.
